What is a Digital Pulse Massager?

What is the difference between a Digital Pulse Massager and a Tens Unit?

Zarifa digital pulse massagers (or EMS Units) massage, re-educate, build and stimulate muscles. Whether you’re an office slave or a professional athlete our Digital Pulse Massagers are of benefit to you. There’s a catch though….

Many People think our EMS Units are the same thing as a TENS unit. Although similar they differ in function.

What's the Difference between the two?

A Tens Unit, or transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation can help back and neck pain that may be caused by trauma or continual strain. The body responds to such pain or injury with muscle guarding, an attempt to immobilize the painful area by tightening the muscles surrounding the injury. Muscle guarding impairs circulation in the affected area.

The decrease in blood supply leads to a decrease in metabolism with an accumulation of waste products. TENS therapy (transcutaneous electric nerve stimulator) can help break this pain cycle and aid in the normal healing process.

What’s the purpose of a digital pulse massager?

EMS units relax muscle spasms, increase blood circulation, re-educate muscle, stimulate muscle fiber, prevent disease atrophy, and break up lactic acid. Due to these qualities they are used in pain management to tone weak muscles, aid in the healing process and relieve pain. Any of our combo EMS and TENS units from Zarifa USA offer muscle rehabilitation, recruitment, maximizing strength and faster recovery

How does a Digital Pulse Massager Work?

Our EMS units are easy to use. Attach the electrodes, place the gel pads onto any area of sore muscle, turn on the Massager, and adjust your intensity settings.

If dealing with post injury, we recommend you utilize a lower intensity setting to get started. You can always up the intensity as the session goes on. After a 20 to 40 minute session the affected area should begin to feel better. Experiment with the settings that work best for you.
